Eleven Rita sisters celebrate jubilees

The Congregation of the Rite Sisters – that is a Catholic religious order living according to the rules of Augustine and having its headquarters in Wrzburg – celebrated the jubilees of this year. Profession is the discarding of the medal. Due to the corona pandemic, the originally planned dates on April 18 and May 9, 2020 had to be canceled. Now all eleven jubilarians of this year have reminded of their first profess at the same time and without publicly and confirmed their medal in the festive service. The Rita sisters report this in a press release.

The Superior General Sister Rita-Maria K and the retired pastor Norbert Stroh regretted that many of the companions of the jubilarians were unable to celebrate the thanksgiving service for God’s faithfulness, the professed profession and the work of the sisters in the religious community and among the people. “Our relatives and friends are there in our hearts and are very closely connected to us,” said Pastor Stroh.

On October 11, 1955, 65 years ago, Sister Angesia Gre and Sister Edeltraud Walter took their first medal. Sixty years ago, Sister Dolores Schneider, Sister Ingrid Seufert, Sister Pauline Hanauer and Sister Timothea Brenner joined the community of Rita Sisters with their first profession.

Sister Bernadette Fa, Sister Christiane Schrder and Sister Gisela Schneider celebrated their 50th jubilee of profession and thus their golden jubilee. 40 years ago Sister Hildegard Kalla and Sister Maria Hirth made their first profession. Sister Hildegard is currently the responsible nurse in the motherhouse and Sister Maria is in charge of the Ritawerk Germany.

The jubilarians come from the Dizesen Wrzburg, Rottendorf-Stuttgart, Aachen, Regensburg, Eichstdt and the Archdiocese of Hamburg. During their religious life they lived and worked in many locations. They worked as cooks and housekeepers, in hospitals or old people’s homes, in social stations or kindergartens, as family carers, in administration and in the administration of the order.

Remain shepherds and live meaningfully

With the personal affirmation of the promise of profession, the lighting of the professed candles and the desire and desire to “remain good shepherds and live meaningfully with God’s help”, the festive service in the chapel of the mother house had special elements. At the small reception in the ballroom, the sisters could personally congratulate.
