Eleven firefighters were injured on Saturday in a fire after an explosion in the center of the American city of Los Angeles. More than two hundred firefighters were deployed to control the fire, according to reports local media.
The fire brigade was notified of a fire in a building in the Little Tokyo neighborhood at around 6:30 PM local time. Once the fire brigade was inside the building, an explosion occurred, after which the fire spread and spread to surrounding buildings.
Eleven firefighters were burned in the explosion and taken to hospital. None of them are in mortal danger.
With the deployment of 240 firefighters, we finally managed to get the fire under control around 8 p.m. (local time). Extinguishing is expected to continue for several hours.
