The President of U.S, Donald Trump, attacked his likely opponent for elections Democrat Joe Biden, calling him “incompetent” to lead the country, at a time when polls over the weekend showed more disenchantment with the electorate with his handling of the coronavirus pandemic.
“They shot him, they shot him mentally,” the Republican leader on Biden said in a lengthy interview with the conservative Fox news program “Fox News Sunday.”
Trump, who will seek reelection for the White House, said that if Biden is elected on November 3, he would “destroy this country.”
The president made several unfounded or highly speculative allegations against his predecessor’s former vice president, Barack Obama, saying he would “triple taxes” and “leave the police unfunded.”
But he also ruled that “religion will go” out of the lives of Americans, referring to Democratic rulers in several states who ban large religious services to stop the spread of the virus.
The interview was conducted at a time when new polls showed Biden increases his lead over Trump as doubts grew over how the president has managed the pandemic amid a resurgence of the coronavirus in many states.
Interviewer Chris Wallace told the president that a new Fox opinion poll gave Biden a substantial advantage over Trump, not only because of his ability to handle the pandemic and deal with recent protests and racial unrest, but even in driving of the economy, for a long time one of the strengths exhibited by the magnate.

And a new joint poll by The Washington Post and ABC News shows Biden leads Trump among registered voters across the country by a resounding 15-point margin, 55 to 40 percent of preferences.
Trump dismissed such polls as “false”, saying that polls by the White House they give him the winner of the elections.
The president wondered if the Democrat could pass a cognitive ability test that he said he had “passed”.
“Let Biden sit down for an interview like this, he would be lying on the floor crying for his mommy. He would say, ‘Mommy, Mommy, please take me home.'”
