Bengaluru: Election strategist Sunil Kanugolu, who devised campaign strategies for the Congress’s resounding victory in the Karnataka assembly elections, has been appointed as Chief Advisor to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. Kanugolu has managed several elections for parties like BJP, DMK, Anna DMK and Akali Dal. The team led by Kanugolu, who joined the Congress last year, coordinated the campaign strategies for the Karnataka assembly elections. Kanugolu was also active behind the Bharat Jodo Yatra, which gave the Congress a lot of energy before the Karnataka elections. Earlier, Kanagolu was also included in the Congress task force for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
