EKWB releases Furious Meltemi fan with speed of up to 3500rpm – Computer – News

Slovenian EK Water Blocks has announced its EK-Furious Meltemi 120mm fan. The fan is intended for use with radiators. The Furious Meltemi 120 is sold via the EKWB website for 26.33 euros each.

The EKWB Furious Meltemi 120ER is 38mm thick and has seven fan blades. According to EKWB, this produces a high static pressure of 7.13 mm / H2O op, with which the fan is primarily intended for use in combination with radiators. The fan uses a double ball bearing and has an expected service life of 50,000 hours. The Furious Meltemi also delivers a maximum airflow of 121 at 3500 rpm cfm.

The speed of the Furious Meltemi can be adjusted via PWM control from 1200 rpm to a maximum of 3500 rpm, while the standard Meltemi reaches a maximum speed of 1800 rpm. Ek Water Blocks supplies the fans with a striking red nylon cable of 50 cm. The company says it does this to protect users’ fingers: “3500rpm is not nothing.” Users are therefore advised to be extra careful when the fans are on. Furthermore, EKWB advises users to use the fan in pull mode, like this writes Hardware.info.

The fan is available on the EKWB website, among others. The fan has according to TechPowerUp a suggested retail price of 25.90 euros, although the fan is currently sold through EKWB for 26.33 euros.
