After four weeks of searching, the sad certainty: Ekaterina B. from Bremerhaven-Wulsdorf is dead. The police speak of a criminal offense. Her husband is suspected. He is in custody.
The young mother from Bremerhaven, which even “Aktenzeichen XY … unsolved” had searched for, is no longer alive. “At the end of the extensive search and the numerous police measures, it is clear that the 32-year-old has been the victim of a crime,” said the police on Wednesday afternoon.
On March 1, a suitcase was found on the waterfront of the Weser near the Atlantic Hotel Sail City in Bremerhaven. This contained the dismembered corpse of Ekaterina B.
Ekaterina B. dead: arrest warrant against husband
The investigative work of the last few weeks has apparently drawn suspicion towards the young mother’s husband: an arrest warrant was issued against him on Wednesday, according to the police. “After Ekaterina B. was found, the combined evidence and circumstantial evidence led to an arrest warrant being issued against the young woman’s husband.”
The 32-year-old was considered Missing since February 4th. she is said to have been divorced from her husband, her mother had spoken of violence in the relationship in the past few weeks. The police had not wanted to comment on B.’s family life.
