Eight people arrested for violence against riot police in Barneveld in May | Inland

The suspects were arrested on the basis of camera images and tips that came in after a broadcast of Opsporing Verzocht at the end of October. The eight suspects come from all over the country. They are a 46-year-old and 62-year-old man from Utrecht, a 35-year-old Amsterdammer, a 32-year-old man from IJmuiden, a 51-year-old man from Delft, a 53-year-old man from Spijkenisse, a 42-year-old man from Leeuwarden and a 27-year-old man from Heerlen. Police do not rule out more arrests.

According to the organization, the demonstration by action group Police for Freedom attracted about 1000 demonstrators. Mayor Jan Luteijn of the Gelderland village was attacked by the demonstration and issued an emergency order. A large part of the demonstrators left, but 80 to 100 demonstrators sought confrontation with the police. No arrests were made at the scene.
