The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced, earlier on Thursday, the success of efforts to secure the safety of the rest of the Egyptian soldiers in Sudan.
The ministry said, in a statement: “The Arab Republic of Egypt announced the success of the efforts it made in coordination and cooperation with the sisterly United Arab Emirates to secure the safety of the rest of the Egyptian soldiers present in the Republic of Sudan with the Rapid Support Forces and hand them over to the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Khartoum.” Their appreciation to the International Red Cross for its efforts in supporting the process of securing the safety of Egyptian soldiers.

For its part, the UAE announced, in a statement, “the success of the mediation it carried out in coordination and cooperation with the brotherly Arab Republic of Egypt to secure the safety of the Egyptian soldiers present at the Rapid Support Forces, and to hand them over to the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Khartoum. The two brotherly countries expressed their appreciation to the International Red Cross for what His efforts to support the process of securing the safety of Egyptian soldiers,” according to the official Emirates News Agency.
