Efforts To Achieve Zero Leprosy, Bekasi Regency And Kuningan Establish Partnership In Leprosy Management

The signing of the collaboration was also carried out by the Head of the Provincial Health Office of West Java, dr. R. Nina Susana Dewi, Sp.PK(K)., M.Kes., MMRS, Chief of Health Bureau of Kuningan District dr. hj. Susi Lusiyanti, MM, Head of Bekasi District Office, Dr. H. Alamsyah, M.Kes and director of NLR Indonesia Asken Sinaga at Gedung Sate, Bandung, December 15, 2022.

In her remarks, Nina appreciated the continued support for leprosy care in West Java.

“We have been working with NLR since 1979 and have been carried forward by the Indonesian NLR Foundation through activities in Indramayu in 2019 and now in Bekasi and Kuningan districts,” Nina said in the same statement.

Asken Sinaga said advocacy for leprosy treatment is being carried out through innovative efforts to achieve the goal of a leprosy-free Indonesia.

“We continue to work together for zero leprosy in Indonesia by filling the gaps in leprosy management through innovations as we seek and explore resources, especially funds from overseas. And Alhamdulillah, thank God, we have received donor assistance for two activities for three years in Kuningan and Bekasi,” Asken explained.
