Education opens the call to request the scholarships for books and dining room of the next academic year

The Department of Education of the DGA has published this Monday in the BOA (Official Gazette of Aragon) the call for scholarships so much of dining room like books for the next school year. Applications can be submitted at educational centers from Tuesday until July 5.

In the case of dining room, a total of 10,859 students will be the beneficiaries of this aid from the DGA amounting to 12 million euros. The amount does not change and the amount of the scholarship establishes a fixed amount for its beneficiaries of 860 euros per year -86 euros per month-. The scholarship covers the entire course, including the start and end days of the course. In summer, dining grants will take place through a program to open centers, or with direct payment to the family, for an amount of 180 euros per school-age minor, and 120 for each sibling, up to a maximum of 600 euros per family unit.

In the case of book grants, the beneficiary students will be 16,205 students and the expected amount is 2 million euros. The maximum referral cost would be 160 euros per student in Primary and Special Education and 230 euros per student in ESO and Baccalaureate.

Changes in rent

The economic conditions to apply for the aid are the same as in other years, although this time changes have been made on the issue of income, as explained this Monday by the Minister of Education of the DGA, Felipe Faci. “Until now the tax return for two previous years was being requested. Now, however, there is the possibility of updating it depending on whether there has been a decrease in income or if you are a recipient of the Minimum Vital Income “, has pointed out. “It is an important novelty in these times,” he stressed.

To process both scholarships, from the Federation of Associations of Parents of Students of Aragon (Fapar) will provide a point of support for families that they do not have the computerized means to process said requests. It will be at its headquarters, on Calle San Antonio Abad, from July 23 to 5, by appointment by phone.
