Edition Thionville – Hayange | Citéline: what will change as of this Monday, May 11

The context

Like other city and school bus networks, the TransFensch adapts the circulation of its fleet according to the dates announced by the government. Namely from Monday, May 11, resumption of classes for kindergarten and elementary students, in late May, the turn of high school students.

Traffic scenarios

From Monday 11 May, regular lines will operate on holiday schedules (reduced frequency). They will circulate normally from May 18. As a reminder, the PMR and Citélo services are available for booking as of this Monday. Regarding school lines, they do not run outside the M94 Lommerange-Fontoy, the only service concerned for the Mixed Syndicate of Urban Transport Thionville-Fensch (Smitu).

As of Monday, May 18, if the colleges open their doors again, the circulation of the network switches to school period. The articulated buses will remain stored, replaced by standard buses. Adjustments may be made after the first days of observation. It is understood that the transport offer is likely to change according to government announcements.

Circulation conditions

Drivers must wear a mask. The employer will provide two protections per service. Just like disinfectant gel. The drivers’ driving position was fitted with plexiglass windows.

Mandatory masks (not supplied) also for all users, under penalty of a fine (135 euros). And of course, respect for the rules of distancing.

The vehicles will be disinfected once a day.

Network pricing

Free entry has been made until May 18, to allow users to pay for their ticket. Normal pricing will be applied from May 18, the date on which the network will run during school periods.

The Citéline store in Thionville reopens this Monday, May 11 at 1:30 p.m., that of Florange the next day Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. Plexiglas windows were installed to protect the staff, as well as “guide files”.
