Some 250 packages of drugs found last Wednesday afternoon and evening in the Boca de Bigua community in the Jama canton, north of Manabí, would be valued at approximately 6.5 million dollars in Mexico or the United States. In the morning, in Santa Elena, a similar operation intervened two illegal tracks in the Engullima compound.
In Jama, Pablo Ramírez, commander of sub-area 13 of Manabí, confirmed not only the discovery of the 250 brick-type packages, but also the location of a clandestine track, which is presumed to have been used to send shipments of alkaloids. A few meters from the site, three people were arrested who were related to the alkaloid found in the area.
The police authority indicated that a criminal organization dedicated to the international trafficking of controlled substances broke up with this operation carried out by the Antinarcotics Directorate.

The Ecuadorian Navy also reported the seizure of 600 gallons of fuel in the port of Jaramijó roadstead. This volume of fuel could be retained when it was carried in 33 pomas by four boats that, according to the Navy, did not have the departure permits and one of them had no registration, so the maritime authority proceeded to confiscate the fuel.
The Coast Guard of the Navy made the respective summons to the boats and delivered the fuel to the Office of the Managing Attorney for Aquatic Spaces to follow up the investigations of the case.
Shall strengthen actions
Next Wednesday a meeting is planned between the Santa Elena Governorate and leaders of the San Rafael commune, this after clandestine tracks were found in the Engullima compound that would be used to traffic drugs.

Boat with drugs in Anconcito
In a double bottom of a stranded boat, personnel from the Navy, the Prosecutor’s Office and the Anti-Narcotics Police found drug blocks, in the Anconcito parish, in the Salinas canton, Santa Elena.
