“Local patriotism pays off” was it Conclusion of the «Landbote» in an article at the end of March. After all, anyone who invested and resold shares from Winterthur a year ago doubled their money – but at what price? How sustainable are the four local industrial giants Sulzer, Burckhardt Compression, Autoneum and Rieter? So how climate-friendly would the Winti portfolio be?
As of today: not at all climate-friendly. At least according to the comparison tool of the Zürcher Bank Globalance (see info box). Their model uses various parameters to calculate the global warming potential of every listed company worldwide. It shows how well they support the global climate target (Paris Agreement) of a temperature increase of a maximum of two degrees Celsius.
