The storm seemed to have subsided for a moment, but Bernie Ecclestone has revived his feud with Lewis Hamilton. The quarrel between Hamilton and Ecclestone started after the former F1 bobo got into the racism discussion with some controversial statements. “In many cases, black people are more racist than white people,” he said. Hamilton was outraged, calling Ecclestone “ignorant and uneducated.” A month later it is back to Ecclestone, who is talking to The Daily Mail responds.

“Lewis could start by making people aware that non-whites are also employed by teams and get the same opportunities,” said Ecclestone, then addressed the world champion directly. “Lewis, you say I’m uneducated and ignorant. I have the same level of education as you. At least I had a reason, I was in school during the last World War, not always under the best conditions. ”
According to Ecclestone, it is thanks to him that Hamilton has been able to expand his power in the current Formula 1. “You’re lucky, because if I had been well trained, Formula 1 might not be the way you would have benefited so much. I also benefited from it, but I made money before I entered Formula 1, ”Ecclestone says.

Afterwards, Ecclestone’s tone changes. “If you win a championship again, it is because of your talent and because you are in the right place at the right time. Like most successful people, you’ve been lucky and worked hard. But you are a special driver and a special person. ” According to the former CEO, Hamilton should not look at color, but at “the mind”. “Don’t think about your skin color, think about what color your mind is. We are all people for the same reasons. We have to think the same way. Do not envy others. Just improve and talk to each other. We all differ from each other. ”

“Some of us are smaller, bigger, slimmer, thicker or better looking,” Ecclestone continues. “That’s what we have to do it with. Use it to please yourself, but not to hurt others. We are all born the same way and we should live that way. As for my feelings about our black society, I took F1 out of South Africa after a white South African murdered a black journalist for his comments. ”
That’s not the only incident in which he opposed racism, according to Ecclestone. “During a race weekend I got a car and a driver to use. I was in the car with Jochen Rindt, the F1 driver, on my way to the track. A black man was on the road and the white driver opened the car window and hit the black man with a stick, ”says Ecclestone. “I called to the driver to stop the car. Jochen and I pulled the driver out, put the black man in the car and drove to where our new passenger could safely get off. I was half arrested by the police. I explained the facts they did not want to understand. And zoh it was ”, Ecclestone recalls. “I’ve had so many other incidents. Life is not fair. We need to educate a younger generation, ”the Briton concludes.
