Loose Women panelist Stacey Solomon, 31, said she had to ‘be sane’ and think about her sons when asked about the possibility of marrying Joe Swash, 39, in an unearthed interview. The couple got engaged in December last year and share their son Rex, who turns two in May, together.
Regarding the marriage, the former X Factor star said, “I don’t want anybody to have the capacity to take half of whatever I’ve worked hard for.
“I’ve put money aside for my kids to make sure they have a roof over their heads, and I still have to work really hard to keep making this happen for so long.” that I have left on my mortgage.
“I would never want to be in a position where it could be taken away from them, so I have to be reasonable,” she added in an interview with Sun’s Fabulous Magazine.
The couple reunited in 2016 after meeting on ITV2 I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here Now! in 2015.
Joe asked Stacey to go out with him when they returned to the UK, but she admitted that she didn’t think things would go any further.
On Christmas Eve last year, Joe knelt in their local woods in Essex and asked Stacey the question.
The Loose Women star flashed her ring when sharing her good news on Instagram that night.
She recently revealed that the couple are hoping to tie the knot this summer, although restrictions are in place.
In a recent Instagram Q&A, Stacey said she wasn’t sure if she would take Joe’s last name.
Stacey explained, “It sounds so weird. But I’ve been Stacey Solomon for so long, about 31 years. ”
“This is the name of my mother and my father. It’s me. This is who I am. Did anyone else feel that way? ”
