The Easter performance Music For Hope – Live From Duomo di Milano that Andrea Bocelli gave on Sunday in the square of the Duomo of Milan, has reached more than twenty million streams via YouTube within a day. During the performance, the tenor sang the spiritual Amazing Grace.
During the concert Bocelli also sang Ave Maria and Sancta Maria.
Bocelli announced the performance on Tuesday. The singer was asked by the mayor of Milan to perform without an audience.
The corona pandemic has claimed many lives in Italy. In the Lombardy region, of which Milan is the capital, thousands of patients died from the effects of the corona virus.
