Easter… accuracy for hundreds of thousands of households who are asked to put their hands deep in their pockets even for the basic dishes of the festive table. Indicative of the situation prevailing in the market and despite the half-measures of the Mitsotakis government through “baskets”, the research by the Institute of Trade and Services of the Hellenic Confederation of Trade and Entrepreneurship (IN.EM.Y.-ESEE).
The Institute carried out on-the-spot pricing from supermarket chains and specialized food retail stores certifying that this year’s Easter table will be the most expensive in recent years by a percentage of up to 19,3% compared to 2023.
The research revealed that for this year’s Easter table (6-8 people) the cost ranges from 89 up to 130 euros.
In the relevant announcement it is even pointed out that both the prices of the products included in the “Easter festive basket” and those belonging to the “household basket” are included.
