MANOKWARI, PapuaStar.com – The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) for Manokwari stated that the strength of the earthquake was Magnitude 4.7, the point of the earthquake was in Ransiki, South Manokwari Regency, West Papua Province.
Head of BMKG Manokwari Daniel Tandi said, the strength of the earthquake was 4.7 magnitude, location 1.44, south latitude 134.30, east longitude 16 km northeast.
“The epicenter was in Ransiki with a depth of 10 Km, felt all the way to the Manokwari Regency area,” he explained to a number of journalists, in Manokwari, Sunday (12/02/2023).
He said, in the first few minutes after an earthquake, earthquake parameters can change, so people don’t panic, stay alert.(PS-08)
