Eagle-Eye Cherry is a Swedish-American singer. Coming from a family of artists, his father Don Cherry was a jazz trumpeter, his mother the artist Moki Cherry. His half-sister Neneh Cherry also found success with ” 7 seconds” in a duet with Youssou N’Dour, we find her on certain Eagle-Eye Cherry tracks. Shortly after his birth, he moved with his father to New York where he began his musical career. After Don Cherry’s death in 1995, Eagle-Eye Cherry returned to Stockholm with his girlfriend and focused on songwriting. Shortly after, he recorded Desireless (in 1996), a success in Scandinavia and the rest of Europe. His next song, Save Tonight, became his first international success. He returns today with “Rising Sun”, his new single.
