Mohamed Shabana, editor-in-chief of Al-Ahram Al-Riyadi and general secretary of the Press Syndicate, explained what he meant by the cover of the latest issue of the magazine, which read in its title “The (Al-Ahly) Men ……. (Zamalek)”.

Zamalek did not attend the summit meeting against Al-Ahly, which was held at the Cairo Stadium stadium last Monday, before the match referee announced the victory of the Red Team in a legal way.

Shabana said, in a phone call to the “Match” program via “Echo Al Balad” channel on Tuesday evening: “Zamalek’s position in the Al-Ahly match was not satisfactory, the entire White Department is responsible for the scene.”

He added: “The cover in any magazine is an idea, I deliberately put the word men on the cover, we saw a futile scene through which the sports system was insulted, and the fans of Zamalek did not meet before the fans of Al-Ahly.”

He stressed: “Zamalek was not forced to play in the first row, and the decision was for the technical staff.”

He explained: “The recipient who followed the match places the points what he deems appropriate from his point of view, whether the brave or the wrong or the glorious and so on, (each one and his intention).”

He continued: “The idea came to me when I was in the car at the time of the rains, and we saw that it was appropriate. The cover did not include an external word or any transgression against any party, and the cover only took us five minutes to design it.”

He continued: “He who saw the cover offensive is the one who saw that the position of Zamalek is abusive. I am the last one who can be accused of stirring fanaticism. Whoever takes negative stances insulting Egyptian football is the one who stirs up fanaticism and not me.”

He concluded by saying, “From my point of view, I can say the word” withdrawn “in the place of the points on the mathematical cover of Al-Ahram. We do not insult anyone, but we are keen on a simple idea coming out to the readers.
