EA has its opinion voiced about the next-gen consoles such as the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. The company says that what these new consoles can do will surprise people. “It will blow your mind”, as EA describes it very nicely. During the announcement of EA’s Q3 2020 figures, the company was asked about their plans for the next-gen consoles. EA did not want to go into specific details and the games they are developing, but EA did briefly share their view of the new hardware.
“The power of the new consoles is going to be substantially greater than existing consoles,” says EA CFO Blake Jorgensen during the call. “We can do a lot more [with PS5 and Xbox Series X]. Things we’re doing will blow people’s minds. “
EA CFO Blake Jorgensen further says that a lot of innovation will take place, not only from EA, but from the entire industry. The quality of games will be higher and there will even be new genres, according to the publisher.
It is exactly 7 years ago today that Sony announced the press conference for the PlayStation 4. With a little hope, they are doing this today too, but it still looks like coffee grounds when Sony is really putting the curtain aside and showing what the PS5 will be.
