Dynamo Pardubice Dominates in Champions League Match against Ingolstadt

The last match of the Champions League before the sharp start of the domestic competition will serve as an encouraging warm-up for Pardubice. Especially thanks to the hurricane of goals in the first period, they dismantled German Ingolstadt at home: David Cienciala shone with two hits, and then captain Lukáš Sedlák scored three points.

One, two, three, four! The Pardubice hockey players made the most of their famous start to the match and thus gave the unpleasant opponent the best answer to the style in which they presented themselves in the enteria arena.

In short, the aggressive hockey played by the German opponent did not cause any wrinkles to coach Václav Varadi’s charges. And the red and whites proved that they are not afraid to get tough either – he dropped the gloves in the 12th minute

Tomas Dvořák

defender, 28 years old

He also took the penalty until the end of the match even before the first siren

Ondřej Vála

defender, 25 years old

” href=” Vala. Finish two thirds with five defenders? A decent complication, you might say.

At the defensive post, however, the attacker was caught by surprise

Daniel Cancer

attacker, 36 years old

” href=” Rákos and Dynamo did not allow any drama. In the middle period, they cheered up the hall twice again and comfortably walked away for three points.

Goalkeepers

Roman Will

goalkeeper, 31 years old

” href=” Ingolstadt only took a clean sheet from Will in the third period. The main extra-league favorite managed to take another step towards advancing to the round of 16, and will close the basic phase of the CHL program in October against Geneva and Belfast.

Currently, with nine points, he is at the forefront of the numerical table: after the initial hesitation with Ilves, he overcame Skelleftea and Stavanger.

Testimonials from coaches

Václav Varaďa (coach of Pardubice): “I think the first period was decisive, in which we scored four goals and took the wind out of the Ingolstadt team’s sails. It was a little more nervous, a few borderline tackles, a lot of exclusions. We were able to prevent it, especially in the second third. We made corrections in the line-up, two defenders went out, so we had to put forwards in the defense as well. But the boys handled it well and I feel that we deserved to win.”
