Dynamo Kyiv Youth Players Training with First Team in Turkey – Matvey Ponomarenko and Taras Mikhavko

Two players from the youth team are working fully with the Dynamo first team at the training camp in Turkey – Matvey Ponomarenko and Taras Mikhavko. Both receive playing practice on an ongoing basis.

I really like that the coaching chance for the first team is not limited to just two players, but gives a chance to other players from the youth team. Fortunately, the main team and U-19 are nearby.

In the match against Pakhtakor, Oleg Gusev’s son Alexey played on the right flank of defense for the first time in first team matches. Dmitry Kremchanin also got an opportunity against Legia. Andrei Matkevich played with Balkan.

All these are players of 2005, players of the Ukrainian national team of their age. These guys will already be 19 years old. You need to trust them, give them chances, motivate them. In a couple of years, each of them can become the main player of the Dynamo first team.

I think that Alexander Shovkovsky will not stop there. Other young players will also get their first team chances. If Roman Salenko heals his injury, he will also have the opportunity to play. In the fall, he was already in the first team’s lineup in the match against Kolos.

Kirill Pashko has matured. The “new Tsygankov” has already begun to stand out through his individual actions.

The training process is very important, both sides. But matches at training camps against adult teams give the coaching staff an opportunity to evaluate young players better. How psychologically and physically are they able to withstand such football. And for young football players, this is simply a huge experience that they cannot get at the youth football level.
