After a something turbulent development time it seems that the wait time Dying Light 2 goes towards the end. On Thursday, developer Techland was able to tell that the game’s launch date has now been set for December 7, 2021.
The date came towards the end of a seven-minute presentation of the upcoming game. The video – which you will find in the video window above – dives deeper into the gaming experience, and shows more of what players can expect.
Day and night in The City
The action in Dying Light 2 is set 15 years after the apocalypse. Players step into the role of Aiden Caldwell, who in search of his family ends up in the city known as The City.
The city is home to three different factions, called Survivors, Peacekeepers and Renegades. Players choose who they want to ally with, and the choices you make affect both the course of history and what happens in The City.
The game also builds on the day / night cycle from its predecessor. During the day you can explore the city and hunt for supplies, while at night the surroundings become far more dangerous when the undead take to the streets.
Also this time it is always important to count on when to take up the fight with enemies, and when to use the game’s acrobatic movement system to get away as quickly as possible. The whole thing can be experienced alone or with up to three friends.
Dying Light 2 kommer til PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One og Xbox Series X/S.
