Ali B and his driver were met after parking the car. “When they get out, they both look down the barrel of a gun. Not long after, the perpetrators run away with the loot and get into a waiting vehicle. This dark Audi then drives off the street at high speed,” the police said on their website. The rapper responded on Instagram yesterday after the incident. Ali B cannot and cannot say much about the robbery, he stated in the video. But to dispel rumors and reassure his friends and fans, he did provide a small update on the situation. The rapper explained that he was driving down the street with his driver when he was suddenly ambushed. “We are healthy. Those people wanted something, I gave it. Because I think: yes, the sooner you give it, the sooner you get rid of it. So don’t worry, it’s going well. I hope they catch the culprits soon. And well, that’s it.”

He tells radio station Omroep Flevoland that he has been robbed of his ‘clock’. Earlier this week, the rapper talked proudly about the timepiece in the Dutch talk show Op1. It is not yet clear whether the robbery is related to this. Ali B says he is not necessarily shocked. “You increasingly read that such things happen,” the artist refers to earlier robberies of famous Dutch people. “I had already thought that it could happen one day.”

Ali also warns the media: interviews are not included. “I’m not going to talk to anyone about this and let the police do their job,” he concludes. Flevoland police announced on Twitter last night that they had received a report of an armed robbery in the street where Ali B lives. Several culprits are said to be involved.
