Zandvoort –
Max Verstappen performed well in front of his own supporters on 2021 Dutch Grand Prix F1 Qualification. He beat Lewis Hamilton to take pole.
In the session which was held at the Zandvoort circuit, Saturday (4/3/2021) evening WIB, Verstappen who rode Red Bull compete closely with Hamilton with Mercedesits since the start of Q3.
Hamilton’s attempt to catch Verstappen’s time failed because he had to agree to be in second place with a very tight margin, 0.038. Verstappen also has the right to pole in his home race tomorrow.
Verstappen recorded a time of 1 minute 08.885 seconds, while Hamilton with 1 minute 08.923 seconds. In third position Valtteri Bottas who drove his car with a time of 1 minute 09.222 seconds.
Completing the top five were Alpha Tauri’s Pierre Gasly and Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc. For the sixth to tenth positions there are Carlos Sainz, Antonio Giovinazzi, Esteban Ocon, Fernando Alonso, and Daniel Ricciardo.
