It is not rare that princess Marta Louise (50) fiance, Durek Verrett (47) creates headlines. Now his latest statement about his own corona infection has caused experts to raise their eyebrows.

In a live broadcast on Instagram, the self-proclaimed shaman stated that he did not receive medical attention, and that a special medallion helped him “get the poison out of his system”

He is said to have contracted the infection during his visit to Norway in June, on the occasion of Princess Ingrid Alexandra’s 18th birthday.
– The doctors said I had to take all these “chemicals”, they wanted me to use a breathing machine, and all that. I said ‘no!’, because the spirits said I ‘had what I needed to get through this,'” Verrett said during the live broadcast on Instagram.

Professor and immunologist at the Institute of Basic Medical Sciences at the University of Oslo, Anne Spurkland, says most of us cope with corona infection without medical help.
She believes that Verrett’s statement is really about a difference between the US and Norway, and how we use it the healthcare system.

– Most of us would probably just stay at home if an infection was detected, rather than see a doctor. And rather nurture ourselves with tea and honey, or whatever it is that is comforting, she says and adds:
– I drink tea, while Durek uses a special locket to feel better.

Spurkland is of the opinion that the 47-year-old was not particularly affected by corona.
– If he had been seriously ill, I think he would have received medical attention.
