This November 23, Duracell, in alliance with Fundación Dibujando un Mañana, announced the start of the alliance Fun Lasts Longerwhich aims to develop and equip a toy library to contribute to improving access to quality education for girls and boys in vulnerable situations in the country.
Between November 15, 2023 and January 15, 2024, all interested people will be able to donate new playful toys in one of the 12 Duracell battery-shaped donation spaces located in Chedraui stores in Mexico City, State of Mexico and Querétaro.
“For us it is an honor to work hand in hand with the foundation on a project that allows us to help improve access to quality education for boys and girls in vulnerable situations in Mexico. We hope this is one of many social campaigns that Duracell can contribute to.”says Daniel Sierra, VP & GM Mexico of Duracell.
“We want to deeply thank DURACELL for its trust in our work and thus, together we can generate these safe spaces such as playrooms, through play, children explore, discover, experiment and, what is most valuable, learn. and will give these girls and boys the opportunity to have full and comprehensive development.”says Katty Beltrán, general director of the Dibujando un Mañana Foundation.
Once the collection time is over, Duracell and the Drawing a Tomorrow Foundation will review the donated toys and, if they meet the essential requirements to be used safely, they will be stored until the toy library is ready.
On the other hand, Duracell will support the total equipment and furniture necessary for the play center, which will be inaugurated in mid-2024 and will have personnel responsible for caring for the boys and girls in psychological, educational and pedagogical matters.
