On a new Facebook Live, President Iván Duque announced that next week he will analyze, with experts, the behavior of COVID-19 to determine if this change can take place in September.

The president added that selective isolation encompasses the most vulnerable groups and warned that self-discipline is essential.

“The concept of isolation has to change, it is true, from generalized isolation with exceptions to selective isolation and much more individual discipline,” he said.

However, he assured that the alert will be maintained to contain possible outbreaks.

“This has to do with individual discipline and with the concept of knowing how to selectively isolate those who are positive, but also those who have greater vulnerability and obviously moving from a concept of obligation to one of self-responsibility,” he said.
