It has been decades since that Dune was released by writer Frank Herbert. Several attempts have been made to film the book, but according to Herbert’s son, Brian, who has written several books in the franchise, a really good version is only now coming out.
With that Brian Herbert refers to The movie from director Denis Villeneuve. According to him, Villeneuve was the first to successfully film the incredibly complex work of his father.
Great project
“I was really impressed with the trailer and also very happy to be on the film set in Budapest, where my wife and I attended the shooting of several scenes,” Herbert told the site Inverse.
“This is a really big movie, a big project that will forever be seen as the definitive adaptation of Frank Herbert’s classic book. Fans are really going to love this movie. Denis Villeneuve is the perfect director to make Dune.”
Central to the story is Paul Atreides, a young man whose family takes over the most dangerous planet in the universe. This is where the crucial raw material Spice is located, but also the particularly dangerous sandworms.
