Duel of Generations: A Musical Showdown featuring Latvian Legends

Accepting the challenge of being the captain of the green team, the musician has taken this responsibility very seriously and hopes that the audience will enjoy each song and get to know the stories of their melodies during the ten broadcasts.

I have always believed that Latvian music is very rich with its beautiful and lyrical songs, so I believe that we will be able to give positive emotions to television viewers every Friday night!”

Lauris Reiniks has assumed the duties of the harbor of peace and leader of the “Duel of Generations”, who is excited about the upcoming event, revealing that he is looking forward to how the members of each generation will interpret the songs.

“I myself am interested in how they will interpret those songs, it will be the greatest intrigue, how the young and, let’s say, the experienced, see and be able to perform the same song. It will be intriguing!”

The format of the show is a competition, where an important element at the end of each show will be voting, sending home one of the losing teams, so that another bright musician will take his place in the next show.

During each show, the teams will duel each other in both musical question quizzes and the manner of performing the song. Teams are assigned songs from the opposing generation in each duel and their task is to perform as well as possible. For example, in one of the programs musician Andris Baltacis will perform one of the hits of the group “Bermudu divstūris”. It will be a fierce battle that will make the participants immerse themselves in the memories of important Latvian musical events and prove which generation’s songs are stronger.

To make the competition more intense, each program is dedicated to a theme, for example, we will hear the most beautiful Latvian music duets, we will draw energy from the songs of our nation’s strength, we will have a proper party with the most powerful songs of our generation and we will heal broken hearts. In the course of ten programs, the audience will be delighted by the most popular artists –

Ieva Akurāteres, Marija Naumova, Samanta Tīna, Ralph Eiland, Alice Haijima, Andris Baltacis, Miks Galvanovskis, Ineta Rudzīte, Ingus Ulmanis, Nikolajs Puzikovs and other bright stars of our stage.

360TV musical big show “Paaudžu duelis” from October 20 at At 8:30 p.m. every Friday evening, they will sing together with the whole of Latvia.
