Devices from the last four generations of Samsung Galaxy have been banned from Geébench lists.
Due to the control of temperatures, the method of telephone performance recovery has long been used. This is important to prevent any damage to the device’s battery and processor due to excessive internal temperatures. This is a particularly difficult task for mobiles, as cooling is typically done without moving parts.
Of course, Samsung’s devices will also slow down if the device seems to overheat, but the manufacturer handles some applications differently, for example, in the case of Geébench, there is no otherwise natural slowdown caused by heat.
In addition to the latest S22 models, users have also seen this phenomenon in 3 other previous generations, and the app, which measures the performance of various devices, and Geébench did not rest, reacted quickly to Samsung’s manipulation.
Samsung’s built-in Game Optimizing Service (GOS) is responsible for this phenomenon, which also limits the performance of applications such as Twitter, YouTube, Netflix or Spotify, but the list includes nearly 10,000 applications.
In response, Geébench has banned the last 4 generations of the Samsung Galaxy S Series, as GOS has been built into Korean devices since the Galaxy S10. By the way, Samsung handles Antutu, 3DMark and GFXBench software in a similar way, so Galaxy users can expect to be penalized by them as well.
