This remarkable participant conquered hearts during the New York City Marathon, and afterwards also on the internet.
At the beginning of this month, the New York City Marathon took place with about 33,000 participants. There was one ‘striking’ runner among the participants: an enthusiastic duck, Wrinkle called. Literally a strange duck in the bite.
Wrinkle’s owner has already shared several videos on social media platforms TikTok on YouTube, which show Wrinkle’s daily activity. Wrinkle even has an official Instagram-account. Still, her recent participation in the NYC Marathon attracted the most attention.
The video on TikTok, in which Wrinkle (in red shoes) is loudly encouraged, has now more than 9 million views and thousands of comments. Also sports brand adidas already commented on the video: “We’re sending this to our design team to create a new duck shoe collection.” We are already fans of the idea. Admit: a duck on running shoes participating in one of the largest marathons in the world makes our (runners’) hearts beat faster. Those who look at the images will undoubtedly agree with us …
