This is a case that could have ended very badly. Saturday, around 2:45 a.m., a car in the wrong direction is signaled by several motorists on the N 124. It is heading towards Toulouse… but on the road that leads to Auch.
The gendarmes then engage on this section to try to arrest him. The car makes a U-turn (and therefore goes back in the right direction of traffic) but overtakes the soldiers.
The gendarmes finally succeed in forcing the vehicle to stop in Colomiers, at exit 6. Two young women are on board: the driver, aged 30, and her passenger.
Drugs and cash in the car
On the dashboard of the car, the gendarmes find a pouch that contains drugs. The two occupants of the vehicle are taken into custody.
The gendarmes finally got their hands on 70 grams of marijuana, 50 g of cannabis resin, 4 g of cocaine and 990 euros in cash. According to a gendarme contacted by France bleu Occitanie, “My driver could be involved in drug trafficking.”
The two occupants of the car are summoned to court: they should be tried in immediate appearance on Monday.
