A drunk truck driver had to surrender his driver’s license on Tuesday evening.
Shortly after 5.30 p.m., witnesses noticed a small truck on the K 7161 between Ringingen and Burladingen. The vehicle had come several times on the opposite lane and almost to the right of the road.
At the owner’s address, officers from the Albstadt police station were able to meet the 29-year-old driver. The man was considerably under the influence of alcohol.
The driver’s license is gone now
According to the police, a test showed a preliminary value of well over two per thousand. After the blood sample was due, the 29-year-old had to hand over his driver’s license.
