The motorist who was seriously injured in an accident on Saturday evening in the hamlet of Holte between Onstwedde and Wedde has died of his injuries.
Emergency services have been of no avail, the police reported on Sunday morning.
The victim is a 30-year-old man from the municipality of Stadskanaal. At around 10:50 p.m., he collided with his car into a tree by the side of the road. The man was alone in the car.
The police are investigating the cause of the accident. She is currently assuming a single-vehicle accident.
