Well insulated in their own car, visitors can enjoy a break without exposing themselves to the risk of infection. “It’s a huge effort, but we also want to do something good for people,” says Elmar Huber, organizer of the drive-in cinema in Bad Säckingen, which is to take place at the Wallbach traffic training area. At the same time, the 59-year-old is driven by the economic necessity: “We usually rent out serving cars, tents, beer sets – just everything you need for a party.” In the Corona crisis, this branch of Huber’s company is left without orders. “So I was thinking about what else we could do. I came up with the idea of ​​the drive-in cinema.”
