Dresden Police Carry Out Operation in Response to Rally Clashes

The Dresden police carried out an operation today related to the gathering in the state capital Dresden. She was assisted by the English riot police.

At the end of the evening a meeting started on Alaunplatz under the slogan “Not one foot for Quergida fascism!” Afterwards, the participants ran along Alaunstrasse, Albertstrasse and Augustusbrücke to Neumarkt, among other places.

A meeting of the Pegida support association started on the Neumarkt at 6:45 pm. Elevator then continued back to Neumarkt via Wilsdruffer Straße, St. Petersburger Straße, Dr.-Külz-Ring and Seestraße, among others. On St Petersburger Strasse and Wilsdruffer Strasse, around 15 to 20 people sat on the road to protest against Pegida. The police secured the situation. The elevator was passed on the spots.

The participants of the meeting continued “Not an inch from Quergida’s fascism!” the elevator way and voiced their protest within earshot and sight. The meeting of the Pegida Support Society ended at 9:00 pm, and shortly after that the meeting also ended.

The Dresden police initiated five investigations on the participants of the Pegida meeting due to the use of symbols of unconstitutional organizations (1), physical harm (1), insults against names, religious associations and ideological associations (1) and violations of the Act Assembly (1). 2). The German suspects are between 47 and 59 years old
