Indonesia will face tough opponents in the quarterfinals Uber Cup 2020. The red-and-white heroes must meet Thailand.
These are the results of the draw carried out by the Badminton World Federation (BWF) on Thursday (14/10/2021) early in the morning WIB. Indonesia qualified for the quarterfinals as runners-up after losing 0-5 to Japan in the last party of the group phase.
As a result, Indonesia also had to carry out a heavy draw when dealing with Thailand in the quarter-finals. Even if they qualify, Indonesia will meet tough opponents, either China or Taiwan.
For Indonesia and Thailand, this is the second meeting in a row in the Uber Cup quarter-finals after the last one in 2018. At that time, Indonesia lost 2-3.
Meanwhile in the top block, Japan as the favorite will face India. Then, there is also South Korea as the winner of Group C to meet the runner-up of Group D Denmark.
All 2021 Uber Cup quarter-final matches will be played at Ceres Arena, Aarhus, Denmark, starting at 19:00 WIB. Indonesia will play starting at 00.00 WIB.
