At around 7:30 pm, the police were called to two men in an apartment on Vinzenzgasse. A man (62) stabbed his opponent (32) in the neck with a kitchen knife during an argument. The victim died at the crime scene. When the police arrived, the alleged perpetrator was in an adjoining room. He was arrested and initially taken to the Graz Police Detention Center. As police announced during the night, a man (75) shot first his wife (71) and then himself in the central cemetery in Graz. Both were found lifeless in the afternoon near the previously reserved grave. The couple had a farewell note with them and a gun was also confiscated. From the letter it appears that the motive was the woman’s illness.
