Drama for Ferry Somogyi: little boy on a ventilator

Intensive Care

The GTST actor’s twins recently contracted the RS virus. This virus is quite common, but generally harmless. Because the twins were born at 35 weeks, they were more susceptible to the virus and had complications. The two boys were hospitalized. But where one (Lux) recovered quickly, the other (Imre) became increasingly ill. He got the Rhinovirus and also got a cold. The child became so ill that he had to be taken by ambulance to the Wilhelmina Children’s Hospital and ended up in the ICU.

IVs

Noëlle writes on her Instagram that it was terrible to see her child in the hospital. “Because he retained a lot of fluid, he didn’t really look like himself, and the sight of the respiration, tubes and all infusions are also intense to see.”

To strengthen

What was also intense, writes Noëlle, is that she and Ferry had to commute continuously between the two hospitals and between their house, where daughter Véda (2) was staying. “It’s really been survival for us through the tension and fatigue,” she writes. Fortunately, the end of the difficult time seems in sight. Imre has since been discharged from the Wilhelmina Children’s Hospital and has been admitted to the regional hospital where Ferry and Noëlle live nearby. The baby continues to grow.
