An explosion at a security post in the Somali capital Mogadishu left dozens dead and several dozen injured on Saturday (December 28th), said a rescue official.

These insurgents have sworn the loss of the Somali government, supported by the international community and by the 20,000 men of the African Union force in Somalia (Amisom).
Driven from Mogadishu in 2011, they then lost most of their strongholds. But they still control large rural areas from where they carry out guerrilla operations and suicide bombings, including in the capital, against government, security or civilian objectives.
