Dos Bocas will be inaugurated on July 1, 2022 to celebrate 4 years of victory: AMLO

Paraiso.- To celebrate four years of his electoral victory, the president Andrés Manuel López Obrador announced this Sunday that Dos Bocas refinery will be inaugurated next July 1, 2022.

By spearheading the progress monitoring of the petrochemical project, the head of the federal Executive pointed out that this date can be reached with the finished refinery because there are no budget problems and because there are sound public finances.

“Rocío (Nahle, Secretary of Energy) that the commitment we made in June that we are going to inaugurate this refinery in 2022 still stands, we agree that it will be inaugurated on July 1 when Mexicans decided in 2018 to say enough to corruption regime, to the regime of impunity, injustice, privilege and with great wisdom our people said “enough” and we are going for the transformation of Mexico. That is why this refinery will be opening on July 1, 2022 ”.

“I can assure you that this will be the case because we are monitoring physical and financial progress and we have no budget problems. There are healthy public finances in the country ”, he said.

President López Obrador assured that the national and foreign companies that are participating in the construction of Dos Bocas are complying and he pointed out that by 2023 the six refineries in the country will be rehabilitated, so that there will be the capacity to refine one million 400 thousand barrels per day “so that Mexico will be self-sufficient” .
