Tuesday evening, the demonstration against the global security law in Dijon brought together 500 people. More than an hour after the start of the static rally (authorized by the prefecture), the crowd decided to wander and headed for Boulevard des Brosses, on the rails of the tram.
Garbage cans were overturned, some set on fire, the police were also targeted by projectiles. After summons, the police dispersed the procession with tear gas. And a few minutes later, 17 demonstrators were arrested in the Jouvence sector.
These men, aged 20 to 32 and coming from all over the department but also from Saône-et-Loire, were placed in police custody. They came out of the police station on Wednesday with a summons before the delegate of the prosecutor for “gathering after summons to disperse”.
