Bethesda and ZeniMax have now officially confirmed the first reports that the new shooter DOOM Eternal has got off to a fantastic start.

Recently, the first Steam user numbers showed that DOOM Eternal a very popular title right at the release. Finally, the peak values of gaming gamers at the same time went through the roof and were significantly higher than those of DOOM from 2016.
Now Bethesda Softworks and ZeniMax have also officially commented on the start of sales and reported that DOOM Eternal broke all sales records within the popular shooter franchise on one launch weekend. The game’s revenue was more than double the DOOM released in 2016.
In addition, the new id software shooter from Steam was the best-selling title of the week and alone was able to attract over 100,000 players who were playing online at the same time.
And: The game is not only a commercial success, it also enjoys excellent reviews. The Metacriti ratings of the different game versions range from 87 (PS4) to 89 (Xbox) to 90 on the PC.
