Central Java Governor Pranowo reward reluctant to talk much about the news about him being a candidate as Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan-RB).
The position of Menpan-RB is now vacant after Tjahjo Kumolo died last Friday (1/7).
“I am per’ think, per’ take care of Central Java wae (I think and take care of Central Java only),” answered Ganjar when asked by CNNIndonesia.com after opening the National Special Olympics Week (PeSONas) event at Holy Stadium Semarang, Monday (4/7) night.

Ganjar’s answer is the same as the statement when he always entered the 2024 Presidential Candidate (Capres) exchange in a number of surveys.
Previously, the chairman of the PDI-P DPP Djarot Saiful Hidayat named several of his party cadres who could replace Tjahjo Kumolo as Menpan-RB.
Some of the names mentioned were PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto, MPR Deputy Chair Ahmad Basarah, General Treasurer Olly Dondokambey and Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo.
Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD said that the election of the new Menpan-RB was President Jokowi’s prerogative. He refused to say much.
However, Mahfud believes that President Jokowi has already pocketed the name of the new Menpan-RB candidate.
“Pak Jokowi must have known (Tjahjo’s replacement) and was already in his pocket. Maybe he was just waiting for the time for condolences to pass,” Mahfud said in a written message to reporters, Monday (4/7).
