Jusos Jena are planning a continuation for next year.

Jusos Jena reports that blood is scarce, especially during the Corona period. Just a week ago, the Jena University Hospital sent a call for help: The canned food was running out. For some blood groups there are only 15 instead of 150 preparations that should actually be in stock. Any healthy person between the ages of 18 and 68 who weighs at least 50 kilograms can donate.
The Jusos Jena organized a blood donation campaign for the SPD Jena on Wednesday and called on their comrades to donate blood. 18 comrades donated – many before work.
Among others, Lutz Liebscher, Member of the Bundestag, Holger Becker and City Councilor Tina Rudolph were there. “We are particularly pleased that we were able to win 16 first-time donors,” says Tobias Birk, Chairman of Jusos Jena and himself for the first time for a good cause at the needle.
Because: The expense allowances are donated to the Jena animal shelter. “We are definitely considering a sequel for next year. We are also happy if our campaign motivates more people to donate as well, whether as a party, association, with friends or alone – the blood is urgently needed. ”
