Trump launches new range of Trump-branded golden high-top trainers

Donald Trump stopped by “Sneaker Con” in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, over the weekend to unveil a new range of Trump-branded golden high-top trainers. The shoes, called “Never Surrender High-Tops,” feature a “T” logo and American flag detail. They are available for purchase on Trump’s new website, Victory47, for $399. The website also sells other Trump-branded shoes as well as Victory47 cologne and perfume for $99 a bottle.

The former US president’s appearance at the Philadelphia Convention Center was met with a mix of boos and cheers from the crowd.

Trump faces significant financial setback after fraud trial ruling

Trump’s visit to “Sneaker Con” came on the heels of a damning verdict in a civil fraud trial. New York Justice Arthur Engoron ruled on Friday that Trump, his company, and his associates are to pay nearly $355m in fines. With interest, the total amount comes to $463.9m. Trump and his entities were found guilty of inflating the value of assets to obtain more favorable bank loans and also face a three-year ban on doing business in the state.

Despite being ordered to pay significant fines, Trump has expressed his intention to appeal the ruling.

Trump continues to face legal challenges

This recent ruling comes just a month after Trump was ordered to pay $83.3m in defamation damages to E Jean Carroll, who accused him of sexual assault. These mounting legal debts, combined with potential interest payments, pose a substantial risk to Trump’s personal fortune, which has long been a core aspect of his political appeal. Trump has consistently denied any wrongdoing and pledged to fight these legal battles.
