Despite the fact that Borat Subsequent Moviefilm is less well received than the original, a lot of people talk about it. Mainly of stage puts Rudy Giuliani, the personal attorney of President Trump and the former New York mayor, stands out.During one scene, Giuliani is interviewed by Bulgarian actress Maria Bakalova posing as a 15-year-old right-wing journalist. She behaves flirtatious and does not stick to the agreed distance.
After the interview, the two go to a hotel room (equipped with hidden cameras) to have a drink. There Giuliani lies down on the bed and puts his hand in his pants. His official response is that he wanted to put his shirt back neatly after the microphone was removed. Now none other than Donald Trump is speaking about the film.
Not funny
For example, the president of the United States says that he himself almost fell prey to one of Sacha Baron Cohen’s characters: ”Years ago Sacha Baron Cohen tried to make fun of me, but I was the only one who didn’t give him the chance. I was right through him. He’s fake and I don’t think he’s funny either. As far as I’m concerned, he’s a creep”.
Trump may be referring to an interview in Da Ali G Show from 2013. In it Ali G (Sacha Baron Cohen) to help him invent a glove that can keep ice from dripping on your hand.
However, Cohen now thanks Trump for the free Borat ad on Twitter and even lashes out at the president with the tweet below.
Donald–I appreciate the free publicity for Borat! I admit, I don’t find you funny either. But yet the whole world laughs at you.
