Dominik Szoboszlai played a major role in Red Bull Salzburg’s seventh championship title in a row. The Hungarian is the subject of a number of transfer rumors, and the 19-year-old could leave the bulls in a few weeks’ time using an exit clause.
The Kronen Zeitung reports on Sunday of an exit clause in Szoboszlai’s contract, which should amount to 25 million euros. Should a club be willing to pay this sum, Szoboszlai could lose the bulls in the upcoming transfer window.
In contrast to Hee-Chan Hwang’s future, Salzburg’s sports director Christoph Freund didn’t want to know about a possible departure from Szoboszlai on Sunday. “No club has actively contacted us for Dom. If he continues like this, it may well be that he arouses interest,” he said Sky. Recently, an alleged interest from Paris Saint-Germain was reported, but this explicitly denied friend.
Szoboszlai joined the Salzburg youth department in March 2017 and played in the fighting team within two years. Szoboszlai played 38 competitive games this season and scored ten goals, 17 more goals. No other player in the current championship group had more goal participations (16).
The list of supposedly interested clubs is long: AC Milan, Leicester, PSG, Hertha BSC, Arsenal and Napoli have been mentioned in recent months.
